Wayne Wolf will work to bring down the high cost of fuel, which is adversely affecting people throughout the 3^rd CD.  Last summer, John Salazar introduced a bill that would have prevented the development of a trillion cu. ft. of natural gas on the Naval Oil Reserve northwest of Rifle.  Congressman Salazar has consistently over represented the preservationists at the expense of our economy. 

I will vote for increased orderly and environmentally responsible production of fuel on the North American continent and off its shores.

We need what I call green/green alternative energy.  The Congress must encourage sources that make sense financially as well as environmentally.  We need a suite of energy producers that includes clean coal as well as wind, nuclear and hydro driven generators.  Solar, geothermal and conservation must be considered for our buildings to stretch our natural gas supplies.  We must build the infrastructure to support petroleum and electrical transportation.  These measures will make us more energy independent, reduce our national debt and increase our financial security.
