Colorado
needs…
a strong economy,
Building a stronger
Colorado
economy is an immediate and long-term priority for
Wayne Wolf. During his eight years as commissioner,
Delta
County
moved up six places relative to other
Colorado counties in prosperity.
It is true that the
county budget increased during his two terms, but that
happened while county tax rates remained constant or
decreased. The way out of the state budget crunch is
by businesses making profits and people having jobs.
It is not by imposing onerous fees.
stewardship,
As a fifth generation
Colorado
rancher,
Wayne
understands the importance of stewardship. If people
in agriculture don’t take care of the land they know
they will be out of business. Unnecessary regulation
can put them out of business quickly.
Wayne
is opposed to lawsuits by preservationists who are
trying to kick ranchers off public lands, and yes his
family has grazing leases on land managed by the
BLM and Forest Service.
adequate water,
One of the favorite occupations of
Wayne
and his wife Kristine is irrigating pastures and
fields on theirs and their family’s ranches. They own
a water right and know what a c.f.s. looks like, as
well as how barren
Colorado
would be without adequate water resources.
Wayne will be supportive of well thought out in basin water
projects.
low cost energy,
High energy costs are detrimental to all of
Colorado.
Wayne
believes we need to develop energy sources that make
sense both economically and environmentally. He
recognizes that clean coal must be a part of that mix.
and vibrant education.
Wayne
has been an enthusiastic teacher in public schools, a
Christian school and in helping to home school his
nephew.
Wayne
will work with others to fit state regulation to best
classroom practices.
Colorado
needs Wayne Wolf in the
Colorado State
Senate.
